About Me

Born and raised in Portland Oregon, Claire developed a love of being outdoors and making art at a young age. Her affinity with the natural world provides a well of inspiration with its visual expressions of time and spirit. These interests led her to receive a BFA in Printmaking and a BA in History at the University of Oregon. Claire pursues her studio practice in Portland where she paints, draws, takes photos and creates intricate visual journals. She also practices calligraphy, illustration, and design. Traveling, working in the field, and furthering her studies in history and art history continue to inspire her work.
Claire's work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions including the Courtyard Marriott Portland City Center, the Oregon Society of Artists, and the Colored Pencil Society of America. Her work is held in the University of Oregon’s Printmaking Department collection as well as private collections across the United States and Canada.
